Local Teen sees drop in Angst

DULUTH, MINN- After turning sixteen (16) this past weekend, local teen Zachary “Zane” O’Neil has noticed that his angst level is starting to take a sudden dip. We caught up with Zane outside at his bus stop. Here’s what he had to say:

“You know, for the past three or so years I’ve felt like my parents just didn’t really get me, ya know? It was always like ‘You’re not the boss of me. I don’t have to listen to you. Just shut up already!’ But now, I feel like they might actually be alright.”

Apparently this sudden change of heart came soon after finding a, “butt-load of Metallica vinyls in the basement.” Since this discovery Zane, who now prefers Zach, has begun to remove some of the safety pins from his backpack that were holding on his My Chemical Romance, and Pierce the Veil patches.

When questioned about all the anarchy symbols, pentagrams, and skulls drawn on his back pack Zach had this to say, “You know, I don’t regret it. Those are just symbols of a time gone by. After my US govt class I can see that anarchy may not actually be the best way to go. Also, I wasn’t expecting this backpack to last that long. Way to go, Eastsport.”

Since this interview, Zach has gone on to torrent some Simon and Garfunkel.
