Surprise! Chevy Chase Drops the N-Word On The Set Of ‘Community’

According to Deadline, Fletch himself “had another outburst, this time featuring the N-word…People close to the situation say that Chase had been increasingly frustrated and uncomfortable with the direction of his character, Pierce, who is a bigot. After getting fed more lines he found offensive during a scene yesterday, I hear he snapped and launched the tirade, airing his frustration and suggesting that the way things with Pierce are going, he may next be asked to call Troy (Donald Glover) or Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) the N-Word”
Naturally, I’m offended about his racial remarks, his lack of respect for the cast & crew, his free-form use of that horrible word and (of course) him telling The Huffington Post UK that Community’s sitcom-based style is “the lowest form of television” and coming back was a “big mistake”. But moreover, I’m offended that people consider Chevy Chase’s opinions ‘news’.

I agree his outbursts (though at times warranted) are increasingly more trouble than they’re worth, but the problem here...

At this point, we all know that Chevy Chase is an asshole, but isn’t the headline here and on Deadline completely...
